The "No Child Left Behind" (NCLB) Act of 2001 has made private tutoring a part of the
supplemental educational services. It is availabel to parents of eligible students under the
new Act. The stat approved providers must be "high quality," research-based and designed to improve
the academic achievement of the participating students. It is because of Smart Kids
Tutoring & Learning Center, Inc.'s premier educational quality, it is approved by the
California State Board of Education as a supplementary educational services provider. The center provides FREE private
tutoring and enrichment services for K-12 NCLB eligible students in all California school districts.
The center focuses on helping students to close the academic gaps in language arts,
reading, math and other subjects.
1. What program at which levels are available for my child?
We provide one-on-one tutoring in Reading/Language Arts and Math for sutdents in
grades K-12 with a focus on reading comprehension, spelling, grammar, basic math, pre-Algebra and
Algebra. We provide assessment tests to measure the student's learning level and then work to help
them acquire skills for academic improvement. We are a popular choice among many school districts,
and have Spanish-speaking tutours and staff for support.
