This program highlights the accomplishments of our youth and the promise they hold as future entrepreneurs, business leaders, and hopefully, Tampa Bay Business Hall of Fame Members.

Many of our local students are already productive members of their school, responsible consumers, entrepreneurs and even wise investors. To be young and full of hopes and dreams is one thing, but to be young and full of action, commitment, and success is something else entirely.

This award, given at the Tampa Bay Business Hall of Fame, is intended to encourage the ideas, potential, and talent of our youth by honoring them in a setting in which they can see their own future, one in which they are surrounded by the most accomplished business leaders in the Tampa Bay area.

2022 Winner: Larissa Lippe- Smart Kids Tutor

IN HER WORDS: In January 2021 I founded my private tutoring company, Smart Kids Tutor, a company run for students by students. Smart Kids Tutor is a for-profit LLC based in Sarasota servicing students across the USA and Canada via in person and virtual tutoring. We provide 1-on-1 personalized, private tutoring for students in grades K-12. I began Smart Kids Tutor in the heat of the COVID-19 pandemic, which was certainly a learning experience requiring quick thinking and adaptability to my business model. When the company was founded, I was the sole tutor with 2 students. Within a few months I brought on 2 more tutors and grew our client base to roughly 5 students. Since then, our team has grown to 16 tutors across 2 countries and we have provided invaluable academic experiences to over 50 students in 20 different subject areas. We have donated thousands of dollars back to the Sarasota County Schools, and continue to impact children's relationship with education every day, from teaching kindergartners how to read to helping high school juniors improve their SAT scores by 200 points.

Community/school involvement: President of Rho Kappa, the National Social Studies Honor Society, the president of the History Bowl Club, and the captain of the Speech and Debate Team. Member of the Riverview High Advanced Senior Guitar Ensemble, Technology Student Organization, the International Baccalaureate program, and the following honor societies: National Honor Society, National Science Honor Society, National Spanish Honor Society, National English Honor Society, National Music Honor Society, National Speech and Debate Honor Society, National Technical Honor Society, and Mu Alpha Theta, the National Math Honor Society. I train in the Japanese martial art Aikido and have been an active member at Traditional Aikido of Sarasota for the last 10 years. I founded the History Bowl Club at Sarasota Middle School, and I read matches for both domestic and international History Bowl Competitions facilitated by International Academic Competitions. I am a teacher and manager of STEMania, a Sarasota-based extracurricular educational program that provides interactive STEM based lessons for students ages 5-12. I am a member of the Sarasota chapter of BBYO, an international Jewish Youth Group.
